Profile: Here comes the 2nd release on the Israeli label of Maor Appelbaum, which is another project of the artist himself. Vectorscope dives into experimental areas, revealing mind-blowing and powerful sounds. I’ve been really surprised by the high quality of the production while the composition remains quite minimal and sometimes moving on the border of noise. The less I can say is that Vectorscope doesn’t only focus on hard noises, but takes care to bring a quite diversified menu. I personally appreciate the bombastic rhythmic of the “Renewal of the mind”-cut while “No way to deny the dream” moves into more familiar Dive and Sonar-like distorted rhythms, which have been recovered with some astral spheres. “Monitoring the blind” is an open-minded release in the long list of experimental and industrial names and titles. www.maorappelbaum.com (DP:5/6)DP.
